Mantaray Barges is a small, locally owned and operated, independent Australian company. They run daily, 365 days a year from Inskip Pt (near Rainbow Beach) to the southern tip of Fraser Island, Hook Point. The trip takes approximately 10 minutes in travel time and operates daily 6.00 am – 5.00 pm. No need to book ahead, you can purchase barge tickets on the barge or alternatively you can book on Manta Ray’s website prior to travel or call into their office at Rainbow Beach.
To drive on the island, you will also require a Vehicle Access Permit from Qld Parks and Wildlife Service, which you can also purchase from the Manta Ray Barge Office or on-line at with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service or phone 13 74 68
